BROCKPORT, NY - The Brockport men's and women's cross country team delivered strong results at Houghton's Highlanders Invitational on Saturday, October 10th. The women's team finished in first place(64 points), and the men's team placed fourth of 13 teams.
Women's Team Results:
Ethne Degan crossed the finish line in 22:17.4, leading the Golden Eagles against a competitive field with a fourth-place finish. Madison Kirkpatrick was the next Brockport
runner to finish, placing ninth overall with a time of 23:07.5.
First-year runners Reese Roberts and Grace Kosmoski followed with impressive performances, finishing 16th and 18th overall, respectively. Roberts clocked in at 23:36.5, while Kosmoski finished in 23:43.0. First-year Jaelyn Jordan also earned a top-25 finish, taking 21st overall with a time of 23:54.4.
Sophomore Natalie Heselton crossed the line in 24:09.8 to finish 27th overall, while junior Salvatrice Piccolo placed 29th with a time of 24:14.1. Sophomore Lindsey Male finished 34th overall in 24:28.9, and senior Abigail Polus followed in 40th place with a time of 24:33.2
Junior Aaliyah Wright rounded out Brockport's top 10 finishers, placing 43rd overall with a time of 24:37.5. The Golden Eagles showcased depth throughout the field, with several runners delivering strong finishes in a competitive race.
Men's Team Results:
Jace Stuart paced the squad with a 25:01.3 mark, earning a top-three finish. Junior Brady Ruediger was the next Golden Eagle to finish, placing 16th overall with a time of 25:46.6. Sophomore Sam Faga followed closely behind, taking 19th place in 25:56.0.
Junior Thomas Canestrari added another top-25 finish for Brockport, crossing the line in 26:07.9 to place 22nd overall. Senior Caleb Belanger finished 46th with a time of 26:45.6, while junior Kyle Deromanis recorded a 49th-place finish in 26:53.9.
Junior Kyle Lovenguth was the seventh Brockport runner across the finish line, finishing 57th overall in 27:05.9. Senior Tim Smith followed in 62nd place with a time of 27:14.0, and senior Owen Arbocus finished 64th in 27:16.0. Sophomore Eduardo Salinas rounded out Brockport's top 10 finishers, placing 65th overall with a time of 27:16.2.
