BROCKPORT, NY - The Brockport Women's Basketball team (17-7, 13-2 E8) heads to SUNY Geneseo (17-8, 11-4 E8) on Tuesday, February 16th at 5:30 PM, ahead of the Empire 8 Tournament. The Golden Eagles have secured the #2 seed and home court advantage up until the Empire 8 Championship.
Last Outing: Brockport celebrated Senior Day with a 73-64 win over Utica University (7-17, 3-12 E8) on Saturday, February 14th.
Brianna Carey was a game changer off the bench for Brockport, scoring 17 points on excellent shooting from the floor (6-11) and perfect shooting from the charity stripe (4-4). Carey added three rebounds, three assists, and two steals as she continued her excellent run of play.
Mandy Brink cracked double-figure scoring for the Green and Gold, finishing with 11 points, six rebounds, three steals, and two assists in a quality outing.

Stephanie Jean-Baptiste secured another Empire 8 Athlete of the Week honor, earning Co-Player of the Week following another explosive week for Brockport. In a flawless 2-0 weekend for the Green and Gold, Jean-Baptiste averaged 21 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals. Following a 16-point, five-rebound effort in a win against SUNY Poly, SJB would take over on Senior Day. She would lead all players with 26 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 steals, setting a new career-high in rebounds.
Steady Starters: Alongside several contributions of the bench, the Golden Eagles' starting five has been steady and consistent throughout the season. The core of

Peyton Maneri (21 GS), and
Claire Turner ( 24 GS) have missed just three combined games, featuring three players averaging 11+ points per outing. Jean-Baptiste (19.3, E8-1st), Brink (13.1, 11th), and Carey (11.5, 80.5% FT) have led the scoring charge, with Maneri developing into a true defensive playmaking guard (4 APG-3rd E8, 2.2 SPG-7th). Turner has commanded the paint for Brockport, holding conference top-five marks in blocks (35, 3rd) and total rebounding (208, 5th).
Scouting Geneseo: The Knights currently hold the #3 seed in the Empire 8 Tournament, and will enter Tuesday's matchup looking to maintain position. With a head-to-head loss against Houghton (10-5 E8) on their resume, Geneseo will need a win or a Houghton loss at Alfred to lock down the #3 seed. The Golden Eagles defeated the Knights at home on February 3rd, 72-64.
