Virginia Wesleyan's pitching staff and offense would find a groove, shutting out the Golden Eagles and scoring the final 10 runs of the contest. A eight run fifth inning would sink the Golden Eagles, with Virginia Wesleyan tagging on two more runs in the eighth inning to earn an 11-5 win.
