Brockport, NY – The men's and women's indoor track and field teams are off to Ithaca this weekend, for the Ithaca College Tri-Meet on Saturday, February 7
th at 12pm. The Golden Eagles will be in competition with Ithaca College and the University of Rochester.

Last weekend, the Golden Eagles competed in the two day Ithaca multi meet and walked away with promising results.
Men's Team - Aidan Mayer set the tone, clinching a third-place spot in the mile from a time of 4:26.73.
Michael Durski followed suit with a third place finish in the 400 with an AARTFC qualifying time of 50.00 seconds.
Making it to the finals of the men's 60m hurdles was Nick Puma, finishing in fifth at 8.63 seconds.
Derek Grimshaw also made it to the final round of the 60m sprint, where he secured bronze with an AARTFC qualifying time of 6.97 quick seconds.
Brockport swept the board in the 800m race, with Owen Arbocus, Timothy Smith, and Brian Cappellini taking the top three places. Arbocus finished with an AARTFC qualifying time of 1:55.98, Smith also had an AARTFC time of 1:57.32, and Cappellini crossed the line in 1:58.14.
In the 3000m, Howie Vargas crossed the finish line in 8:53.70, good for fourth, and JJ Montemaro ran for 8:53.87, good for fifth.
Mitchell Ellsworth had a strong day in the shot put, throwing for 14.31m, securing him a sixth place spot.
In the high jump, Cardin Chau made strong efforts, clearing the pole in 1.83m, good for a tie for fourth place.
Gabriel Giannini and Tyler Judd both dominated in the men's heptathlon, with Giannini taking third overall with 4845 points, and Judd finishing in ninth with 4050 points.
Women's Team -
Ethne Degan had a day as the mile champion, crossing the line in 5:07.57, securing an AARTFC spot and fifth all-time in Brockport.
In the 400m,
Ariana Proper made strong efforts for ninth place from a time of 1:02.78.
The Green and Gold dominated in the 800m, with
Emily Leo taking silver and
Peyton Long taking bronze. Leo finished in 2:23.06, and Long in 2:23.45.
Finishing with an AARTFC qualifying time of 10:32.11 was
Salma Moumen, good for a second place spot on the board.
In the pole vault,
Isabel Swyers cleared the pole in 3.32m to finish the day in a three way tie for fourth. Becca Bready had a 3.17m jump, good for a tie for seventh place.
Trinity Dees had a strong performance in the shot put, clinching third with an AARTFC qualifying distance of 12.41m.
In the weight throw,
Rhian Crowley took fifth place from a 14.95m throw, and
Trinity Dees finished in seventh from a 14.64m throw.
Finishing in second in the triple jump was
Sasha Schramm from a 10.86m leap, and Abby Zeh took sixth at 10.63m.
In the long jump,
Sasha Schramm showed out yet again with a fourth place spot at 5.30m, and
Maysie Davis had a 5.11m leap to secure eighth place.
Brockport will be back in action as they go the distance on Friday, February 13
th, and Saturday, February 14
