Brockport, NY – On Monday, March 2^nd, the Empire 8 announced Dennis Bobbitt as this week's Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week following a dominating weekend at the Empire 8 Championships. 

Bobbitt secured the Empire 8 champion title in two separate events, earning him the weekly accolade. He first jumped for 7.38m in the long jump to secure the first place finish, and followed the victory with a mark of 14.69m in the triple jump. 

The sophomore currently holds the Brockport triple jump school record of 14.86m, and just this past weekend, earned himself a second all-time spot in the long jump. 

Up next: Qualifying athletes are set to take on the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Indoor Conference Championships at The Armory in NYC on Friday, March 6^th, and Saturday, March 7^th.
