Brockport, NY – The men's and women's indoor track and field teams have put in the work this season to qualify for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Indoor Conference Championships on Friday, March 6
th at 11am, and Saturday, March 7
th at 10am. The teams will travel to The Armory in NYC for the two-day competition, taking their last chance to qualify for nationals.

E8 Championship Recap: Last weekend, Brockport showed out at the Empire 8 Championships with multiple athletes earning hardware. The men's team finished up with a dominating second place, and the women's team took fifth.
Men's Team
Making it to the final round of the 60m hurdles was
Jeremy Chen, where he took second place with a quick time of 8.37 seconds.
Nick Puma also earned himself a spot in the finals, taking eighth at 9.38 seconds.
Derek Grimshaw walked away as a 60m E8 champion, after a showout performance of 6.85 seconds in the finals, also taking his own school record.
Evan Thayer clinched third at 7.00 seconds, and
Gabriel Giannini took sixth at 7.06 seconds.
In the 800m,
Timothy Smith showed out with a time of 1:52.71 to earn himself a silver medal and a new Brockport school record.
Owen Arbocus also had a strong finish, taking fifth at 1:53.97.
Derek Grimshaw added another medal to his collection with a third place finish in the 200m sprint at 22.32 seconds.
Michael Durski finished up shortly after in fifth at 22.40 seconds.

Ayden Grinion earned themselves silver medals in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:20.32.
In the shot put,
Mitchell Ellsworth threw for a strong 14.13m, finishing in sixth. Ellsworth also finished in sixth in the weight throw at 16.80m.
Dennis Bobbitt finished the meet as an E8 champion in the long jump with a dominating 7.38m leap.
Gabriel Giannini also had a strong day taking second at 7.33m.
Bobbitt earned himself another gold medal in the triple jump, with an impressive distance of 14.69m.
Cardin Chau had a day in the high jump, clearing the pole at 1.90m to earn silver.
Jack Galley,
Jake Galley, and Grant Gahagen all tied for fourth from a 1.82m jump.
Earning himself another silver medal in the pole vault was
Gabriel Giannini, clearing the pole at 4.67m.
Women's Team
Starting the day on top for the Golden Eagles was Ethne Degan, earning her place as an E8 champion in the mile with a time of 5:02.52.
Salma Moumen ran strong in the 5000m, taking fourth place and earning points for Brockport from a time of 18:17.75, also taking eighth all time at Brockport.
Ethne Degan had another impressive race in the 800m, finishing in fourth with a time of 2:16.69.
Brockport's 4x400 team of Courtney Bostic, Monica Cammarota, Ariana Proper, and Alexis Rodriguez worked together for a time of 4:05.15 to earn fourth place, and seventh all time.
In the shot put, Trinity Dees clinched a bronze medal from a 12.68m throw.
Sasha Schramm also clinched third place in the long jump from a 5.34m leap into the sand.
In the high jump, Brockport had a three-way tie for sixth, with Sasha Schramm, Katie Pavelchak, and Abby Zeh all clearing the pole at 1.43m.
In the triple jump, Abby Zeh lept for 10.96m, earning a fifth-place spot in the books.
