Brockport, NY – This season, 10 athletes from the men's indoor track and field team earned 2026 USTFCCCA Men's Indoor Track and Field All-Region honors following dominating performances throughout competition.
To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-5 individuals in their event in their respective region on the TFFRS Descending Order List.
Dennis Bobbitt had an impressive season with the Golden Eagles, earning All-Region honors in the long jump and the triple jump. Bobbitt finished second in the region in both events, jumping 7.38m in the long jump, good for a second all-time spot in Brockport, and 14.86m in the triple jump to break an 18-year-old Brockport record. As one of Brockport's top jumpers, Bobbitt earned himself a spot at nationals as a sophomore in both events, where he walked away as an All-American.
Cardin Chau had a dominating sophomore season as a top high jumper for the Green and Gold. Chau finished first in the region in the high jump, clearing the pole at 1.98m at the Nazareth D3 Elite Meet, finishing the season with a fifth all-time spot in Brockport.
In his senior season,
Jeremy Chen showed out in the 60m hurdles to achieve All-Region honors. Chen finished out the year sitting in fourth in the region in the event from an 8.28-second performance at the Nazareth D3 Elite Meet, where he also broke an 11-year-old 60m hurdle Brockport record.
Gabriel Giannini put in the work this season, earning All-Region honors in multiple events. Giannini finished fifth in the region in the pole vault at 4.70m, earning him a ninth all-time spot on Brockport's record board. He also finished third in the long jump with a third all-time distance of 7.33m, and first in the heptathlon with a new school record of 5126 points. Giannini fought hard to also earn himself a spot at nationals in the long jump and heptathlon, where he also achieved All-American Status.
As a top sprinter for the Golden Eagles,
Derek Grimshaw achieved All-Region status after clinching a third-place spot in the region in the 60m dash. Grimshaw showed out in the event, earning a new school record of 6.85 seconds in the finals at Empire 8 Championships, after a strong season of top finishes.
Timothy Smith found himself ranked second in the region in the 800m run after a standout indoor season. Smith earned a new school record in the 800m with a time of 1:52.71, until he broke it yet again in the final round of the race at Nationals, where he crossed the line at 1:51.61, placing seventh to earn All-American honors.
Brockport's 4x400 team, consisting of
Owen Arbocus,
Michael Durski,
Ayden Grinion, and
Malakye Moss fought hard for a fourth-place spot in the region to achieve All-Region honors. The team achieved a Brockport fourth all-time spot from a time of 3:20.32 at the Empire 8 Championships, where they also earned hardware from a second-place finish.
The Golden Eagles look ahead to the outdoor season, which is set to start on Friday, March 27
th and Saturday, March 28
th at Geneseo for the Geneseo Early Season Invitational.
