Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's volleyball team made quick work of the Hilbert College Hawks on Friday night. The Golden Eagles swept the Hawks, 3-0, in their first home match of the season to move to 3-2 overall.
On the way to a 25-11 win in the first set, Brockport rattled off an impressive 9-0 run off of the serve from
Kaylee Dickerson-Holly. Already with a 1-0 lead in the match, Brockport battled for a 25-20 win in the second set to go up 2-0. The Golden Eagles surged out to a 6-0 lead to start the third, closing out the match in three sets with a 25-13 win in the third.
Madisen Jones led the Golden Eagles with nine kills (.421 pct) and added one block assist.
Ellie Cusmano elevated for seven kills and got down for seven digs.

Elsie Logan led the squad with 15 digs on the defensive side of the action.
Grace Ippoliti and
Kaylee Dickerson-Holly both chipped in with eight digs.
Ava Baty and
Kaitlyn Jewett split up the passing duties in this one, both getting credit for 14 assists. Jewett also added six service aces, leading all players in the match. The senior already has 18 aces through five matches this season.
Maddy Howell provided the team's lone solo block in the middle, while
Ana Parella,
Anna Kurtzhalts, and
Lauren Emke each had block assists.
Brockport earns its third sweep of the young season, with two more home matches on tap for tomorrow. Back home at The Vlog, the Golden Eagles will face Grove City on Saturday at 12pm before taking on St. Lawrence at 3pm.
