Brockport, NY - The Brockport men's soccer team (1-2-1) earned a 2-2 draw at Moravian University (1-1-3) on Saturday, September 12th. Despite losing the shots battle 13-7, the Golden Eagles made the most of their chances to secure a draw in Pennsylvania.
After 44 minutes of scoreless action, the Golden Eagles would take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Arthur Barrozo-Fernaine (pending stat correction) would bury a
Trevor Lagarde feed at the 44:28 mark of the first half.Â
Coming out of halftime, Moravian wasted no time tying the game at 1-1. The home team would strike just 32 seconds into the second half. The Green and Gold would take back the lead less than 14 minutes later.Â
Ryan Mathis would drill his third goal of the season, with
Peter Tinaj providing the assist on Brockport's second goal of the evening. Moravian would have a timely response once again, tying the contest at 2-2 at the 72:33 mark.Â
Despite several late scoring chances from the home team, two late saves from
Andrew Watrous would save the 2-2 tie for the Golden Eagles.
Watrous (0-0-1) was outstanding between the pipes for Brockport, making five saves in his first 2026 start.
Aiden Johnson added a shot on goal, with
Khadim Amar,Â
Greg Ramin,
Parker Warren, and
Trevor Lagarde playing all 90 minutes for the Green and Gold.
