BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Brockport men's soccer team (1-1) is set to open its 2026 home slate on Tuesday, September 8, welcoming I-90 rival Buffalo State to A. Huntley Parker Field for a 4 p.m. matchup.
Last Week:
The Golden Eagles split a pair of non-conference matchups in Rochester to open the 2026 season, earning a 2-1 victory over RIT last Tuesday before dropping a 2-1 decision to Rochester on Saturday.
Goals from Khadim Amar and Ryan Mathis powered Brockport past the Tigers, while Kyle Milburn and Peter Tinaj each recorded an assist on Amar's goal.
AJ Nelson earned the victory in goal for Brockport, making three saves while allowing just one goal across 90 minutes of action. Across the team's first two games of the season, Nelson totaled six saves and finished with a 1-1 record.
Instant Impact:
Several newcomers have already made their presence felt in the Green and Gold, as Greg Ramin, Max Maouris, and Kyle Milburn have each made strong first impressions in their first appearances as Golden Eagles.
The trio started both games to open the 2026 season, with Ramin playing the entirety of Brockport's first two outings. Milburn registered an assist on Brockport's first goal of the season against RIT, while Maouris added a shot on goal across 159 minutes of action.
Home Sweet Home:
Brockport will look to carry its recent success at A. Huntley Parker Field into Tuesday's home opener.
The Golden Eagles posted an outstanding 7-1-2 record at home in 2025 and have continued to establish Parker Field as a difficult place for opposing teams to play. Since 2022, Brockport has compiled an 18-6-9 record at home.
Scouting Buffalo State:
Buffalo State enters Tuesday's matchup with a 1-1-1 record to begin the season. The Bengals are coming off a 2-1 road victory over Allegheny College.
Brockport will look to snap a two-game losing streak in the all-time head-to-head series. The teams have split the last four meetings, setting the stage for another competitive matchup between the I-90 rivals.
