Riley is a graduate of Homer High School, where he received All-League recognition in both lacrosse and soccer. He also won the three-sport athlete award. In the classroom he was an honors student. He also volunteered at summer lacrosse camps and as a coach. He is the son of Chad and Lisa Riley, and he has two siblings, Jake and Caraline. He recieved his Bachelors degree in Journalism and Broadcasting: Public Relations, with a minor in Coaching and Graphic Design in the spring of 2021 and is working towards his Masters Degree in Health Care Administration.
