Katie Ziemba

Katie Ziemba joined the coaching staff at Brockport heading into the fall of 2022, after playing her final season for the Golden Eagles in 2021.

Across three seasons under head coach Krista Archambeau, Ziemba has helped guide the Golden Eagles to a 33-20 record, mentoring 15 All-Conference and five All-Region selections. In 2024, Ziemba helped lead Brockport to its most successful season since 1994 (14), winning 13 games and finishing the season with a 7-2 record in Empire 8 contests.     

On the field, she had one of the most successful careers in Brockport field hockey history. The former team captain was a 1st-Team All-SUNYAC selection and is one of just three players in program history to earn All-Region honors. She finished her playing years second all-time with 30 career goals, fourth all-time with 16 assists, and third all-time with 76 points. In 2021, she tallied 14 goals and 33 points, earning the second-highest single-season mark all-time in both categories.

Over the past few years, Ziemba has gained valuable experience teaching at the nearby Churchville-Chili school district. She has also spent time coaching at the Brockport Field Hockey Clinic and the Buffalo Hurricanes Field Hockey Club.

She graduated rom SUNY Brockport in 2021 with a degree in Physical Education with a Concentration in Adapted Physical Education. Katie is currently still furthering her education, working on a Master's degree in School Health Education.
