Krista Archambeau joined The College at Brockport’s field hockey program as head coach in the Spring of 2017.Â
Turning Things Around: During the 2019 season, Archambeau led the Golden Eagles to their best finish since the 2011 season, recording a 9-8 overall record and 2-4 in conference, missing the SUNYAC Tournament by only one game. Since joining the Green and Gold, Archambeau has had seven athletes receive 2nd Team All-Conference honors (Kelsey Devine, Katelynn Mello, Meaghan Lurz, Renee Lauer, Bailey Lazrore, Emmalee Moore, and Paige Thowe). In the 2018 season, Archambeau also led Devine to a record-breaking season as she was ranked second overall in DIII field hockey for defensive saves. She tied her best season wins record in 2022 with 9 wins in the regular season.

Season to Remember: During the 2023 season, Archambeau led the Golden Eagles to their most wins (11) since 2008, posting an 11-7 overall record and a 3-3 mark in SUNYAC play, leading to a SUNYAC Tournament appearance. In 2023, the Golden Eagles earned 5 All-SUNYAC selections (Emmalee Moore, Ella Buchanan, Mary Young, Bailey Lazore, and Paige Thowe), the most in program history. The Golden Eagles' 6-0 start to the 2023 season served as the best start to a season in program history. Under Archambeau, Emmalee Moore broke the program record for single-season assists (10), with Moore and Ella Buchanan earning 2nd team All-Region honors. Â
Sustained Success: As first-year members of the Empire 8 conference in 2024, Archambeau coached Brockport to a 13-6 overall record (7-2 E8), posting the most single-season wins since 1994 (14), and the first back-to-back 10-win season since 1980-81. The 2024 season saw the most single-season All-Conference (7) and All-Region (3) selections in program history, including Empire 8 Goalkeeper of the Year Ella Buchanan. Â

Cardinal Comeback: During her three seasons with St. John Fisher College, the program improved from two wins in their first season to 10 wins and an appearance in the Empire 8 Field Hockey Championship game in 2013.Â
Â
As an Athlete: Before her coaching career, Archambeau was a standout on the field at Seton Hill, where she was a four-year starter and four-year team captain. Over her career, she scored 37 goals and added 26 assists for 100 career points. She had her most successful season in 2009 when she finished sixth in the country in points per game (2.0) and seventh in goals per game (.84). Archambeau closed out her college career by being selected to play in the 2010 NFHCA Division II North/South Senior Game.
Background: Archambeau played varsity field hockey, softball, and basketball at East Rochester High School and was a two-time state champion in field hockey. She was named to the All-State Tournament Team, was a First Team All-State and All-Monroe County selection, and was tabbed the Player of the Year for Monroe County field hockey.
The East Rochester, NY, native recently completed her Master of Business Administration in Sports Management at Seton Hill. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Family Studies from Seton Hill.
