SUNY Brockport Athletics

Steve Romano joined the football program at The College at Brockport as a special teams coordinator in the spring of 2011.

Romano played football in high school, but never played in college, instead choosing to play baseball. His passion for the gridiron continued, as he was a head coach at all levels of high school football. He has coached in the John Marshall, Webster and Penfield school districts.

Romano attended Monroe Community College for two years before coming to Brockport to earn his B.S. in Physical Education in 1978. He continued on, receiving his M.S. in 1982.

He’s been teaching physical education at Willink Middle School since 1984.
