Tyrone Nichols joined the Brockport Athletics staff in the Fall of 2015. Nichols will work with the running backs.
In 2016, Nichols worked with an offensive unit that put up record numbers, setting a new program mark for points-per-game. He again oversaw a rushing attack that saw senior Dan Andrews earn his second straight All-America selection after eclipsing the 5,000 yard mark for his career.
In his first season as a coach, Nichols helped running back Dan Andrews earn All-America status after breaking the Brockport career rushing touchdowns record in his Junior season (44).
During his four year playing career, the linebacker earned Conference Player of the Week honors twice, was an All-Conference Selection as well as NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week. The Troy native played in 35 games for the Golden Eagles, recording over 2,200 rushing yards including 23 touchdowns. In 2012 Nichols led the team with over 1,000 rushing yards (1,022) on 198 carries and scored a team-leading nine touchdowns.
