Biography

2013: Named the All-Academic teams for NJAC and SUNYAC as well as being selected as the team’s top academic award – the Tom Massey Scholar-Athlete award … also named the Ed Matejkovic Special Teams Player of the Year … finished the season with 15 tackles including nine solo stops.

2012: Had eight tackles in eight games and two pass breakups for the Brockport defense and special teams units … Had three tackles in the win over Buffalo State and added three more and two pass breakups the following weekend against TCNJ.

2011: Played in nine games at defensive back as a true freshman... Made 13 tackles, including seven solo stops... Led the Golden Eagles with two fumble recoveries, one against William Patterson on Sept. 24 and one against Cortland on Nov. 5

Before Brockport: Played football at Avon High School... 2008 Class DD Defensive Player of the Year. 2009 Class DD Offensive Player of the Year... Personal: Three siblings Luis, Danny, Wolfgar... Parents: Denise and Jim Welch... Major: Kinesiology/Sport Science/Physical Education
