Ryan Doherty was hired as an assistant coach of the Brockport men's lacrosse program before the 2025 season. Doherty brings a wealth of unique experience to the program, including equipment management, scouting, and teaching.
Doherty graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2015 with his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, where he also served as the head equipment manager for the Oswego men's ice hockey team. He previously worked with Niagara University's men's and women's hockey teams as an assistant equipment manager from 2010 to 2011.
Doherty's coaching experience includes a stint as the head coach of the Rochester Jr. Monarchs U18 hockey team in 2018-19 before serving as a scout and Assistant NCDC Coach for the Monarchs. Doherty would work with the Chicago Cougars as a full-time scout from 2020 to 2021.
