Dyamon Hunter

Dyamon Hunter joined the Brockport women’s basketball program as an assistant coach in the Summer of 2023. Hunter graduated from SUNY Potsdam last Spring and was a five-year standout for the women’s basketball program. Hunter graduated ranked second all-time at Potsdam in career scoring with 1,214 points in 93 games played. 

Hunter was a captain at Potsdam, a three-time SUNYAC All-Conference selection, and a two-time Women’s Athlete of the Year for the Bears. Hunter played in 93 career games and ranked second all-time in assists (363), third in field goals made (433), fourth in free throws (259) and eighth in 3-pointers (89). Hunter started an impressive 91 of 93 career contests.

Serving as an assistant coach under Corinne Jones since the 2023-24 season, Hunter helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 38-17 overall record and a 25-9 conference mark over the past two years. Following a historic 22-3 2024-25 regular season, Hunter helped guide Brockport to the Empire 8 Championship, culminating in the Golden Eagles' first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance since 2009. Led by head coach Corinne Jones, Hunter was recognized as part of the Empire 8's Coaching Staff of the Year and recently graduated with her master's degree in athletic administration from SUNY Brockport in the Spring of 2025.

Off the court, Hunter has held a variety of positions, including Strength and Conditioning Intern at Potsdam (2021-23), as well as helping in the athletic department as an assistant event manager (2018-2023). Hunter was also an assistant high school basketball coach at New Heights in New York, NY. 

Hunter will also work in the Special Events Recreation Center on campus as a graduate assistant with Intramurals and Club Sports while pursuing a master’s degree. 

Originally from the Bronx, NY, Hunter graduated from Potsdam with a degree in exercise science.
