Coach Foster was hired in the summer of 2022 as the new assistant coach for the SUNY Brockport women's basketball team. As a Brockport alumni, he returns to campus after graduating in 2015 with his degree in physical education and a minor in health science.Â
Head Coach Corinne Jones shared her excitement about bringing Foster back to Brockport. "Scott bleeds green and gold. Along with an enthusiasm for his alma mater, he brings collegiate coaching experience from competitive women's programs within NY state. He will be an asset to our staff as he knows firsthand what attracted him to SUNY Brockport and what it takes to be successful here.  We're so excited to welcome Scott back home!"
Last year Scott was the assistant women's basketball coach at Hartwick College, where he was a member of the Empire 8 Co-Coaching Staff of the Year. He helped lead and develop the Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year, as well as multi-all-conference selections. Prior to his stint at Hartwick, Foster served as the assistant coach at Hilbert College for four years. While at Hilbert he helped lead the team to two AMCC League Championships, two NCAA Tournament appearances, and was part of the Coaching Staff of the Year twice.
Coach Foster brings valuable experience that will assist the program with recruiting, game planning, coordinating practices, scouting, social media, and team travel logistics. Foster will oversee all aspects of year-to-year recruiting as Recruiting Coordinator for the Women's Basketball program.    Â
