SUNY Brockport Athletic Director Erick Hart announced the hiring of Aimee Spilman as the Coordinator of Athletic Events and Operations on Tuesday, February 21st, 2023. Spilman will be responsible for managing the game operation needs for all 23 of Brockport's varsity sports as well as scheduling and monitoring all activities in the athletic facilities. Additional duties include coordinating daily facility oversight and supervision of graduate assistants, interns and student worker personnel.

Prior to accepting the position at Brockport, she was a physical education teacher at Derech Hatorah in the Rochester area where she created and implemented lesson plans for grades K-8. She taught students skills and rules to play various sports and helped students understand the importance and benefits of physical education.Â

She was also an assistant coach with the Brockport volleyball program this past Fall, helping the Golden Eagles earn a 20-8 overall record and an 8-1 ledger in SUNYAC play. Brockport earned the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament and advanced to the SUNYAC Championship match, narrowly falling to top-seeded Cortland in the finals. Jordan Thompson and Andrea Coyle were named AVCA All-Americans and four Golden Eagles earned All-Conference honors.

Spilman also has experience as an athletic facility manager in the Rochester area, working for two years at Lonestar where she oversaw building management and turf preparation. She also managed tenants in the space and ensured the facility stayed on schedule. Â Â
She played four years of volleyball at Brockport during her undergraduate days under the guidance of head coach Steve Pike (2014-2017). She helped lead the Golden Eagles to three consecutive SUNYAC Championships and three straight trips to the NCAA Tournament. During her four-year stretch, Brockport posted a 116-27 overall record and recorded three straight 9-0 regular seasons in SUNYAC play. In 2016, the Golden Eagles advanced as far as the third round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.Â
Other experiences include a practicum with the Brockport athletic department in 2017 where she assisted athletic director Erick Hart with daily meetings, schedules, and conference calls. She also spent time working with the college's sports information department and she worked event management for home basketball games.Â
Spilman graduated from Brockport in 2018 with a degree in Kinesiology & Sports Management and she is currently enrolled in the Athletic Administration master's program.
