Kyle Gear was added to the volleyball coaching staff at Brockport ahead of the 2022 season. He is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California, where he was a starter on the men's volleyball team and earned his Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences.
During his playing career at USC he was recognized as the NCAA MPSF All-Academic Scholar Athlete (2019 & 2020) and the USC Ideal Trojan Award in Men's Volleyball (2018 & 2019). Gear was also a USC Swan Scholar in 2019 and completed his degree with a 3.3 GPA. He was even on the Leadership Committee of USC Men's Volleyball.
More recently he has been gaining experience, which includes time spent coaching for the MSA Thunder Volleyball Club, Pace Bootlegger Volleyball Club, and assisting at Nazareth College. Kyle's playing and coaching experiences will benefit Brockport as he steps in to assist in all facets of the program.
