Junior Paul Glover (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) won the 197 lb. weight class at the 2011 New Standard Corporation Invitational at York College. Glover’s victory at the Spartan Invite has given him The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week Award.

Glover’s individual performance helped the Golden Eagles finish second overall at the invite with 87.5 points. Ithaca College finished as the top team. It is Glover’s first first-place finish this season. He finished second at the Doug Parker Invitational and fourth at the Brockport/Oklahoma Invitational.

Glover, the third seed in the weight class, defeated Dylan Mahler from North Central with a 14-5 decision. He then scored a 8-2 decision over Tyler Russell from Merchant Marine. Glover then defeated Kyle Minogue of York in the championship round with a 6-2 decision.
