Senior pitcher James Williamson (Mexico, NY/Mexico) of the Brockport Baseball team has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 18.

Williamson had a solid outing on the mound against Dickinson College in Winter Haven, Florida on March 12. The senior went six innings and allowed just one hit. Williamson allowed three walks and struck out a career-high eight batters as the Golden Eagles went on to win 10-1.

Williamson also had a strong relief appearance at RIT on Sunday. He went 1.1 innings and struck out all four batters he faced. Williamson has allowed just one earned run in 8.2 innings of work this season, putting his earned run average at 1.04. He has struck out 14 batters and allowed just five walks. Brockport went 5-4 on their trip and are currently 10-5 overall.
