Senior Dayna Piraino (Syracuse, NY/Henniger) of the women’s lacrosse team reached a career-milestone over the weekend, earning her The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week award.

Piraino reached the 200 career-point plateau in a 21-2 win over Potsdam on Saturday as Brockport improved to 5-1. Piraino had two assists in the first half and added a third assist in the second half to reach the mark. The senior attack is just the third player in school history to reach the milestone and is currently just five points away from moving into second place.

Piraino currently leads Brockport in points with 32. Her 18 assists rank first on the team while her 14 goals rank third. Piraino has scored at least three points in every game this season. Prior to the weekend, Piraino ranked fifth in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) with 5.80 points per game.
