Senior baseball pitcher Justin McCarthy (Mohegan Lake, NY/Lakeland) has been chosen as The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on May 4.

McCarthy earned a win in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament over Oneonta on Saturday. The win was key after the Golden Eagles had fell in the first game of the double-elimination tournament held in Cortland, NY.

McCarthy started and scattered seven hits over seven innings allowing a runner in scoring position in each of the first seven frames but did not allow a run to score. He also recorded zero walks and struck out a pair of batters.
