Junior Dan Andrews has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 28 after an impressive display of versatility against the Cardinals of St. John Fisher during the Courage Bowl on Saturday night.

Andrews led the offensive charge in a thrilling double overtime contest. The junior was successful on both the ground and through the air for the Golden Eagles. Andrews picked up nine catches for 120-yards and added 122 rushing yards for 242 total yards of offense. In addition the Rochester native tallied four touchdowns, with two receiving and two rushing scores. 

The running back came through in several clutch moments to either give the Golden Eagles the lead or to tie the game back up with his several touchdowns. He scored the first touchdown of the game giving Brockport a 7-0 advantage. His clutch theatrics and endzone prowess waited for the prime time as the lights were gleaming down on the field at Fisher.

Andrews crossed the goal-line on a one-yard run early in the fourth quarter to help tie the game back up after Fisher strung together 21 unanswered points. Less than five minutes later, he found the endzone after a pass from his Golden Eagle teammate. Brockport held a 35-28 advantage after the score and extra point.

After Brockport trailed in second overtime, Andrews once again found the endzone for his fourth and final score of the game on a four-yard run.
