Jon Rogers brought home a gold medal in the shot put this past weekend.  Rogers reached 17.09-meters for the first place finish, narrowly beating out the second place finished by 0.37-meters.  The Averill Park, N.Y. native qualified for the NCAA Championships next weekend in the shot put.  Rogers also finished 15th in the weight throw with a distance of 15.14-meters.
