Senior Kaitlyn Broderick (Bohemia, NY/Connetquot) won a 6-0, 6-0 singles match and also teamed with Sophomore Mackenzie Rounds (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) to win an 8-3 decision at No. 1 doubles to lead The College at Brockport Tennis team to a 9-0 victory over Oswego Saturday in the second round of competition at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championship Tournament at the Eastside Racquet Club in Syracuse.
 
Late Friday, Brockport dropped a 7-2 decision to Oneonta to fall into the consolation bracket of the tournament. The Golden Eagles will face Plattsburgh at 8:30 am Sunday in the fifth-place match in the tournament.
 
On Friday night, Katelyn Richenberg (Stafford, NY/Batavia) and Jen Lazarony (Corfu, NY/Pembroke) won their No. 2 doubles match and Broderick was the lone winner for the Golden Eagles in singles play against the Red Dragons.
 
Saturday was a different story as the Golden Eagles won all nine matches to post a perfect 9-0 win over the Lakers to advance to the consolation bracket finals.
