Junior Dayna Piraino (Syracuse, NY/Henninger) had four goals and four assists and sophomore Stephanie Toomey (East Rochester, NY/East Rochester) added five goals and one assist to lead The College at Brockport Women's Lacrosse team to a 21-8 victory over Oneonta in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) regular-season finale Saturday on Senior Day in Brockport.
The victory gives Brockport (9-5 overall, 6-2 SUNYAC) the No. 3 seed in the SUNYAC Tournament that starts Friday, May 6 in Cortland. The Golden Eagles will face Buffalo State in one semifinal and Cortland will play Geneseo in the other semifinal with the winners playing Saturday for the SUNYAC Championship and the automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Brockport built a 14-1 lead in the first half with Toomey scoring four times and Piraino adding two goals and three assists in the period. Oneonta (3-13, 2-6) score the first goal of the game before the Golden Eagles scored the next 14 consecutive goals.
Senior
Cally Weddle (Homer, NY/Homer) scored twice as did freshman
Allyson Wolf (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West).
In the second half, the Red Dragons scored twice to open the half but Brockport scored four of the next five goals to regain control. The teams traded goals in two-goal spurts the rest of the way for the final score.

Karen Bianchi (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) added three goals while Wolf and sophomore
Kaila Maguire (Potsdam, NY/Potsdam) each had three points with Wolf scoring twice and Maguire adding a goal and two assists.
