BROCKPORT, NY — The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has officially recognized 256 student-athletes in Division III with selections to the 2026 All-Region teams. Following a season of defensive excellence, SUNY Brockport saw two standout performers honored as Empire Region Second Team selections: senior goalkeeper
Arianna Reed and junior defender
Christina Ross. By earning these regional accolades, both Golden Eagles are now eligible for consideration for the national IWLCA All-American teams.
Arianna Reed earns her spot on the All-Region team after a dominant season in the crease where she started 16 of 18 games. The senior posted a sharp 8.12 goals-against average and a .485 save percentage, totaling 100 saves on her way to an 8-5 individual record. Reed elevated her play even further during conference competition, recording a 5.63 goals-against average and a .514 save percentage. Her statistical performance led the Empire 8 in save percentage and ranked second in goals-against average, serving as the backbone of a defense that allowed only 8.22 goals per game. This regional honor adds to an impressive postseason resume for Reed, who was recently named the Empire 8 Goalkeeper of the Year and an All-Conference First Team selection.
Joining Reed on the Empire Region Second Team is
Christina Ross, who started all 18 games for the Golden Eagles this season. Ross was a multifaceted force for the Brockport defense, anchoring a unit that produced 171 caused turnovers. She finished the year with 20 ground balls, 19 caused turnovers, and a team-high 54 draw controls. Her effectiveness in the air was a major asset for the Green and Gold, as she ranked 10th in the Empire 8 with 3.0 draw controls per game. Like her teammate, Ross's regional recognition follows an All-Conference First Team selection, cementing her status as one of the premier defenders in the region.
The IWLCA will announce the 2026 Division III All-American teams on May 22. Following a season of high-level individual and team achievements, the Golden Eagles continue to be recognized among the elite programs in the Empire Region.
