After defeating Cortland 4-0 Friday, The College at Brockport Men's Soccer team capped the weekend with an impressive offensive show with a 5-1 victory over Oswego in a State University of New York Athletic Conference game Saturday on A. Huntley Parker Jr. Field in Brockport.

Brockport (8-6 Overall, 6-1 SUNYAC) started early as the Golden Eagles were credited with an own goal after a long free kick was inadvertently headed into the Oswego goal by one of the Laker defenders giving Brockport a 1-0 lead just 5:38 into the contest.

Five minutes later, Kevin Dorn (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hallow Hills East) netted his team-leading sixth goal of the season as the Oswego goalkeeper came out to cut down the shooting angle but Dorn lifted a shot over the keeper for the 2-0 Brockport lead.

Dorn struck again 11 minutes later for a 3-0 lead. Dan Turchan (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West) assisted on both Dorn goals.

At the end of the first half, freshman Nick Cafarelli (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) scored for the first time this season giving the Golden Eagles a 4-0 advantage heading into the halftime intermission.

Less than 10 minutes into the second half, Paul Altobelli (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) scored his sixth goal of the season with an assist from Kevin Nichols (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) for the 5-0 lead.

Oswego (4-9-1, 3-4-1) scored less than a minute later but was held scoreless the rest of the game as Brockport scored the victory to move into a first-place tie with Plattsburgh setting up a potential game to determine the regular-season champion at Plattsburgh Saturday, Oct. 20.

Casey Sullivan (East Syracuse, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa) started and made two saves in the first half while Max Drexler (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) played the second half making one save for Brockport.
