SUNYAC Tennis Championship Bracket
The College at Brockport will play host to the 2012 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tennis Playoffs held at the Binghamton Tennis Center in Binghamton, NY. The tournament begins Friday, Oct. 5 and will run through Sunday, Oct. 7
The Golden Eagles earned the No. 2 seed in the West Division after posting a 2-1 conference record on the year. Brockport will take on No. 3 seed Oneonta from the East Division in the tournament's opening match on Friday at 1:00 pm.
Geneseo clinched the top seed in the West after posting a perfect 3-0 record. Brockport's only conference loss came at the hands of the Knights on Sept. 11. Fredonia, which lost to Brockport 6-3 in the season-finale, holds the No. 3 seed while Oswego is the fourth seed in the tournament.
New Paltz was awarded the No. 1 seed in the East after an unblemished record. Plattsburgh took the No. 2 seed followed by the Red Dragons and Cortland as the No. 4 seed.
Since 2006, Geneseo and New Paltz have finished as the top two teams at the tournament every year with the Knights taking last year's title. The Golden Eagles finished sixth at last year's tournament. This year's tournament has been relocated to Binghamton after previously being held at the Eastside Racquet Club in Manlius, NY.
The winner of the Brockport/Oneonta match will take on the winner from the Oswego/New Paltz match in the semifinal round Saturday at 2:00 pm.
The winner of the tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships May 20-25 at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
