The College at Brockport Men's Lacrosse team extended their win streak to three games as the Golden Eagles defeated Cazenovia College 18-7 on Tuesday.
Riley Austin (Rochester, NY/Eastridge) led the way with three goals and
Matt Andon-McLane (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) contributed a season-high five points to help Brockport improve to 4-5 on the year.
The Golden Eagles spread their goals out across the game, pouring in four goals in the first, second, and fourth quarters and scoring six in the third. Brockport limited Cazenovia to just two goals in the first half. Brockport forced a season-high 18 turnovers to help shut down the Wildcats.
Brockport outshot Cazenovia 38-18 on the day. The Golden Eagles also picked up 37 groundballs to just 25 for the Wildcats. After starting off the season with at least 14 turnovers in the team's first five games, Brockport has now committed less than 10 in their last three games, including eight against Cazenovia.
Austin scored the first two goals of the game and Brockport jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter. Cazenovia scored a goal with one second left on the clock in the first, but the Golden Eagles opened up the second quarter with three straight goals.
Bryon Palmer (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) scored a goal with 1:50 left in the second quarter to give Brockport an 8-2 lead at halftime.

Jesse Elliott (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) scored the first of five consecutive goals to open the third period. Andon-McLane added two of the goals on the run while
Nate Thomas (Cortland, NY/Cortland) and
Brad Weber (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili)) each scored one. Thomas added a goal with 1:21 left in the third and Weber added one in the fourth quarter for his third two-goal game this season.
Keenan Sullivan (Grand Rapids, MI/ Forest Hills Eastern) scored just his second goal of the season in the fourth but also grabbed a team-high six ground balls and won 10-18 faceoffs on the day. Elliott finished with two goals and one assist. Elliott, this week's State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week, has scored at least two goals in all seven games this season and now has 27 on the year. Andon-McLane added three assists to go along with his two goals.
Cory Banwaree (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) and
Jason Baetzhold (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) both shared time in net for the Golden Eagles, combining for five saves.
