Brockport wasted no time taking advantage of home field as the Golden Eagles put up eight runs in the first inning. After allowing one run in the top of the first, Brockport came right back in the bottom half. The first three batters of the inning reached base to load the bases for Liz Hochman (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford-Mendon). Hochman drilled a pitch to right field for a two-run double, scoring Jenna Yates (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) and Caitlyn Rana (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake). After New Paltz made a pitching change, Brianna Ferchen (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) reached on an error but Hochman and Emily Dumas (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) were able to score on the play.

Kayla Ladd (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) loaded the bases and with two outs, Power came up to bat and drove a pitch to deep center for her first home run as a Golden Eagle to make the score 8-1. Ferchen reached on a single in the second to score Amy Nowak (Warsaw, NY/Warsaw) for her third RBI of the day. Power scored Ladd in the bottom of the third on a double to left field and Dumas drove in two runs later in the inning to put Brockport up by double digits. The final run of the day came in the bottom of the fourth on a home run to left center by Ladd, her second of the year.

The sophomore did not allow an earned run on the day, going all five innings of the shortened contest. Fleming allowed just four hits on the day. In her last four appearances, Fleming has allowed just one earned run and issued just one walk while striking out 16.

The Golden Eagles spread their scoring across the board in game two, but still only needed five innings to complete the sweep. In the bottom of the second, Julie Arnold (Fredonia, NY/Fredonia) scored on a single by Rana who then scored on a single by Yates.

Brockport put up four runs in the fourth on an RBI-double by Rana, scoring Arnold once again. Dumas drove in two runs on a double of her own, scoring Yates and Rana. Nowak drove in Marissa Levia (Olean, NY/Olean) to make the score 8-1.

After New Paltz put up three runs in the top of the fifth, the Golden Eagles came back with a four-run fifth to force the eight-run mercy rule. Jessica Stahl (Brockport, NY/Aquinas) got her first hit of the game with a two-run single. Rana drove in her second run of the game and Hochman provided the final damage, scoring Stahl on a single to end the game.
