Box Score

Junior forward Danielle Henck (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit Valley) netted two goals  for The College at Brockport Field Hockey team and Kasey Schreiner (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) earned her second straight shutout as the Golden Eagles dropped Nazareth 4-0 Tuesday afternoon.

Henck scored Brockport's first goal of the game at the 17:34 mark in the first half, and that proved to be all the support Schreiner would need on the day. After three straight road games to start the season, the Golden Eagles finally played a home game at Brockport Field. The Golden Eagles are now 3-1 on the season.

Jackie Massoni (Bay Shore, NY/Bay Shore) played a ball in off of a penalty corner to Jessica Blind (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) who then played it to Taryn Rossi (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas). Rossi fired a shot on net but Henck was there to put home the rebound and put Brockport up 1-0.

Neither team was able to find the back of the net for the remainder of the first half, but Henck helped build the lead to two goals on her second score of the day. Blind found Henck with a pass from the right side of the net for her third goal of the season and her first career multi-goal game.

Molly Hurd (Richford, NY/Whitney Point) then scored her first goal as a Golden Eagle two minutes later to make the score 3-0. Hurd's first attempt was saved, but the junior collected her own rebound and buried the second attempt. Nikkia Russell (Deposit, NY/Deposit) scored the fourth and final goal of the game while Brenna Gallivan (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West) was credited with the assist.

Brockport controlled nearly every aspect of the game against the Golden Flyers. The Golden Eagles had 10 shots on goal each half, while Nazareth managed just 10 shots overall throughout the game. 12 of Brockport's shots were on net. The Golden Eagles received 11 penalty corners to Nazareth's seven.

Schreiner, who pitched a shutout in a 2-0 victory against St. John Fisher six days ago, recorded her 10th career shutout with the win over Nazareth. It is the first time in Schreiner's four-year career that she has recorded two consecutive shutouts. The senior stopped six shots on the day.

Brockport is off until Sept. 21 when the Golden Eagles hit the road again for its first conference matchup of the season, a 4:00 pm matchup against Geneseo.
