BROCKPORT, NY - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association released its 2025 Division III National Academic Squad and Scholars of Distinction. Over 1,800 student-athletes from 147 different institutions were named to the National Academic Squad, with 543 student-athletes earning Scholars of Distinction honors. The National Academic Squad celebrates student athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester, with Scholars of Distinction honorees holding a GPA of 3.9 or higher.
Clare Devine and
Emily Nestor were named NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction, with
Katelynn Banning,
Elise Brady,
Isabella Cruz,
Makenna Hart,
Autumn Kramer, and
Terralyn McLaughlin all named to the National Academic Squad. In addition to their dedication in the classroom, several recipients were key contributors during the 2025 season.
Clare Devine (16GS) and
Emily Nestor (18GS) each had excellent freshmen seasons for Brockport, with both Golden Eagles playing in all 18 games for the Green and Gold. Devine (2G, 3A) and Nestor (G, 2A) were both instrumental in the Brockport midfield, with Nestor leading all Brockport players in defensive saves (3) and minutes played (1053).
Katelynn Banning (85SV),
Elise Brady (8G, 1A),
Isabella Cruz (11GS),
Makenna Hart (18GS, 7P),
Autumn Kramer (11 GS, 3DS), and
Terralyn McLaughlin all played critical roles on the field for Brockport in 2025. Banning served as Brockport's primary goalkeeper, with Brady and McLaughlin leading the team with 17 points each on the season. Cruz was a staple of the Brockport defensive midfield (686 MP), with Hart and Kramer both finishing the season in the top seven in minutes played.
The Golden Eagles finished the 2025 season with an 8-10 overall record and a 5-5 mark in Empire 8 play, earning a spot in the Empire 8 Conference Tournament.
