The College at Brockport Women's Tennis team fell to Roberts Wesleyan 9-0 in its home-opener on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles are now 1-1 on the season.
 
Mackenzie Rounds (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) and Amy Kurmis (East Rochester, NY/East Rochester) started off the day with an early lead in first doubles. The pair led Roberts Wesleyan 5-4 before eventually falling 8-5.
 
Lauren Bohman (Sayville, NY/Sayville) played a strong match in fifth singles, taking her opponent to a tiebreaker. Bohman took the first set 6-4 and dropped the second set 6-2. Bohman fought hard in the tiebreaker, but fell 10-7.
 
Nicole DeRose (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) and Teresa DiNovo (Albany, NY/Colonie), taking part in an exhibition match, had a strong run against the Redhawks before falling 8-6.
 
The Golden Eagles will host St. John Fisher on Friday for a 4:00 pm match.
