Sophomore Ciara McKeon (Westhampton, NY/Westhampton Beach) scored two goals as The College at Brockport Women's Lacrosse team dropped a 16-6 decision to Cortland Friday afternoon in the semifinal round of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament in Cortland.

The Red Dragons (17-1) scored the first four goals of the game and seven of the first eight to build the early lead.

Nina Tassone (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) and Kaila Maguire (Potsdam, NY/Potsdam) each scored for Brockport (12-6) in the first half and the Golden Eagles trailed 8-2 at the halftime intermission.

In the second half, Cortland extended the lead to 11-2 with the first three goals of the period before Alyssa Scordo (Watertown, NY/South Jefferson) and McKeon each scored to trim the lead to 11-4.

Cortland responded with two goals to regain the nine-goal advantage before McKeon added her second goal of the contest with 11:29 left to play.

The Red Dragons finished off the half with three of the final four goals as Katie Sullivan (Baldwinsville, NY/CW Baker) scored the final Brockport goal at the 5:07 mark.
