Senior Nicole DeRose (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) came from behind and fought off four match points in a super tie breaker to post a win at No. 6 singles for The College at Brockport Tennis team Wednesday as Cortland posted a 6-3 overall victory in the regular season finale in Brockport. The match was originally scheduled for September 21 but was postponed due to weather conditions.
Brockport (6-4) won at No. 1 doubles and also posted wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles for its three team points while Cortland (6-3) won a pair of doubles matches and swept the first four singles matches for the overall win.
DeRose posted a 6-4 win in the first set of her singles matchup but dropped a close 7-5 decision in the second set as Cortland's Michelle Coffey forced a super tiebreaker. Coffey had a lead but DeRose battled back preventing four match points before taking advantage and posting a 14-12 final decision to earn the No. 6 singles win.
 Elizabeth O'Rourke (Camden, NY/Camden) was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at No. 5 singles while the senior tandem of Lauren Bohman (Sayville, NY/Sayville) and Rachel Lamont (Bloomfield, NY/Honeoye) won a close 9-7 victory at No. 1 doubles for the Golden Eagles.
