Freshman Kelly Wall (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) and junior Ciara McKeon (Westhampton, NY/Westhampton Beach) each scored three goals for The College at Brockport Women's Lacrosse team but an early 7-1 deficit for the Golden Eagles led to a 19-13 loss on the road Saturday at Franklin & Marshall, ranked No. 5 in the preseason national poll.

Franklin & Marshall (1-0) scored the first three goals of the game before Wall notched her first career goal for the Golden Eagles. The Diplomats went on to post a 7-1 lead before Makensie Schuber (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) scored to stop the rally. Franklin & Marshall went into the halftime intermission with an 11-3 lead.

Hailey Boronczyk (Syracuse, NY/Corcoran) opened the second half with her first goal of the season as the teams traded goals for the first several minutes of the half.

McKeon scored her first at 25:17, Wall added her second of the game five minutes later and McKeon scored twice in a span of 34 seconds to make it a 15-8 Diplomat lead.

In the closing minutes of the game, Brockport scored three straight goals to trim the lead to 17-12 with Liz Algie (Adams, NY/South Jefferson), Nina Tassone (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) and Boronczyk each scoring for the Golden Eagles. Tassone and Algie scored on free position shots and Boronczyk's goal came off a turnover in the Brockport defensive zone and a sprinting clear by Schuber before a pass to Boronczyk in front of the cage and a turnaround shot past the Franklin & Marshall goalie.

Remle Harr (Farmington, NY/Fairport) made seven saves for the Golden Eagles.
