The Blue Devils started out the game quickly, taking a 2-0 lead in the first four minutes of play.

Brockport struggled to get on the scoreboard in the first 20 minutes of the game. The Golden Eagles could not maintain control, turning the ball over nine times.

Hailey Boronczyk (Syracuse, NY/Corcoran) got the Golden Eagles their first goal of the game off of an assist from Liz Algie (Adams, NY/South Jefferson) and helped the team settle into an offensive rhythm. Brockport added two more goals to take its first lead of the game. Wall tallied her first goal of the game at 8:57 and Schuber added her first goal of the game at 7:46.

Fredonia snuck a game-tying goal with seconds left in the half.

In the second half, the Golden Eagles came out on fire and went on a 6-0 run to take a commanding lead. Alyssa Scordo (Watertown, NY/South Jefferson) started the run off with a goal just 1:27 seconds into play. Wall followed up with a goal just over a minute after.

The Blue Devils stopped the Brockport run with their fourth goal of the game at 10:40. However, Schuber tallied another goal to start another Golden Eagle run. After Schuber's goal, Nina Tassone (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) and Wall tallied three more goals for Brockport, giving the Golden Eagles at 13-4 lead with 4:19 left to play.

Fredonia added a final goal at the three minute mark, but Brockport had already sealed the win.

Scordo tallied one goal and forced three caused turnovers. Colleen Hathaway (Watertown, NY/South Jefferson) led the Golden Eagle on defense with four ground balls.
