#19 Brockport Falls to #18 Fisher

The Golden Eagles could not get their offense going in the 16-3 loss

The College at Brockport women's lacrosse team struggled to find its offense on Thursday afternoon at St. John Fisher in a non-conference matchup that resulted in a 16-3 loss for the Golden Eagles.

St. John Fisher (11-4) jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the opening minutes of the game.

Brockport (10-5) struggled to find the net as the Golden Eagles only managed one goal in the half. At 13:28, a goal from Hailey Boronczyk (Syracuse, NY/Corcoran) off a pass from Liz Algie (Adams, NY/South Jefferson) gave the Golden Eagles their first point of the game.

The Cardinals followed up with 5-0 run to close out the first half on top 7-1.

In the second half, Nina Tassone (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) scored a quick goal to open up play, but St. John Fisher followed up with another run, this time five unanswered goals.

With 12:04 remaining in the game, Kelly Wall (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) tallied Brockport's final goal.

St. John Fisher continued to push on offense in the closing minutes of the game to take a 13 goal lead.

Wall led the Golden Eagles on offense with two points off one goal and one assist.

Brockport returns to action on Friday afternoon for a conference home matchup against Geneseo for its final game of the regular season at 4 pm.
