Junior Natasha Hale (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) dropped a close 8-5 decision with doubles partner Sam Malak (Clinton, NY/Clinton) at No. 2 doubles and then fell in a tie breaker at No. 3 singles for The College at Brockport Tennis team Thursday afternoon in a non-conference 9-0 loss to Roberts Wesleyan in Brockport.
Hale had the closest match of the day for Brockport (4-3) at No. 3 singles. After falling 6-3 in the first set, Hale rebounded to push Natalia Cardona to a tiebreaker in the second set before falling 7-6. Malak also had a good match at No. 4 singles but fell 6-2, 6-3 and Ciara Bannister (St. Albans, VT/BFA-St. Albans) dropped a 6-1, 6-4 decision at No. 6 singles for the Golden Eagles.
