Senior Rachel Lamont (Bloomfield, NY/Honeoye) and sophomore Elizabeth O'Rourke (Camden, NY/Camden) each won a pair of matches leading The College at Brockport Tennis team to a 6-3 victory over Alfred University Sunday in Alfred.

Lamont teamed with fellow senior Lauren Bohman (Sayville, NY/Sayville) for an exciting 9-8 (7-3 tie breaker) win at No. 1 doubles for Brockport (3-0). Lamont also posted a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles. O'Rourke was paired with junmior Natasha Hale (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) and the duo scored an 8-5 victory at No. 3 doubles. O'Rourke added a dominating 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles to help clinch the victory for the Golden Eagles.

Brockport won two of the three doubles matches and posted victories at No. 1, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles. Sophomore Sam Malak (Clinton, NY/Clinton) won a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles and junior Meghan Storie (Cicero, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) won a three-set match at No. 6 singles to complete the Brockport scoring.
