Box Score

Sophomore Kelly Wall (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) and junior Makensie Schuber (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) scored all three goals for The College at Brockport Women's Lacrosse team as they dropped a midweek nonconference game to the No. 14 ranked team in Division III Salisbury, losing 9-3 Tuesday afternoon on the road.

Brockport (1-2) held a distinct advantage during draw controls winning 9-of-14 as Ciara McKeon (Westhampton, NY/Westhampton Beach) led the Golden Eagles with five of those wins. Brockport and Salisbury finished with the same amount of shots on goal as each other with 15 apiece while Brockport held the shot advantage in the first half.

The Golden Eagles never fell more than a goal behind the Seagulls through the first 43 minutes of play as the two teams traded goals back and forth one at a time. Salisbury struck first with a goal about 10 minutes into the first half before Wall evened the score at 1-1 minutes later.

Yet again Salisbury took a one goal advantage with just under 11 minutes to play in the half. Schuber tied the game next for Brockport with an unassisted goal with around four minutes left, making the score 2-2. However Salisbury took a halftime lead with a goal with less than 10 seconds left to play in the first.

Nearly 11 minutes into the second half, Wall tied the game up with her second goal of the game as she spun around a Seagulls defender and ran hard at the left post before firing a shot inside the opposite post knotting the game at 3-3. Salisbury however scored the remaining six goals of the game as the Seagulls aggressive style began to pay off.

Colleen Hathaway (Watertown, NY/South Jefferson), Courtney Szczesniak (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) and Andrea Zlinsky (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) each finished the game with three ground balls apiece while Szczesniak also caused a turnover. Remle Harr (Farmington, NY/Fairport) finished the game with six saves.

Brockport travels to Nazareth Friday at 4 pm for a rescheduled meeting of a previously postponed game.
