The College at Brockport Men's Lacrosse team continued to light up the scoreboard as they beat Hilbert 12-4 behind Jake Giudice's (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) eight point performance Wednesday afternoon at the Bob Boozer Field at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium.

After a competitive first half that saw Brockport (4-4) lead 4-3 at halftime, the Golden Eagles pulled away with eight straight goals to earn their fourth straight win.  Brockport shutout Hilbert (1-3) in the third quarter.

The Hawks scored the first goal of the game but Nick Ciampi (Jordan, NY/CW Baker) answered back sixteen seconds later as he ran right past the Hilbert defense and beat the goalie stick side.  Giudice then scored three straight goals for the Golden Eagles to give Brockport a 4-2 lead.  Brendan Fitzgerald (Baiting Hollow, NY/Kellenberg Memorial) picked up an assist on Giudice's second goal.  Brockport took a 4-3 lead to halftime.

Brockport dominated the third quarter as John Countryman (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) scored four of the six Golden Eagle goals.  Clifton Jackson (Snyder, NY/Amherst) ran from behind the goal to find Countryman with just over 12 minutes to go in the quarter.

Less than two minutes later Colin Blind (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) scored as he ran the ball up the field and fired the ball to the bottom left corner of the net.  With just over two minutes to play in the third quarter, Countryman scored his fourth and final goal of the game as he drew the goalie to the side of the net, shot the ball, picked up his own rebound and shot the ball again before the goalie could get back to the goal.

Fitzgerald and Giudice scored the final two goals for Brockport in the fourth quarter as the Golden Eagles won their fourth straight game.  Giudice finished with five goals and three assists while Countryman finished with four goals and one assist.

Brothers Justin Cook (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) and Zach Cook (Vestal, NY/Vestal) led the team in ground balls with five each.  Conor Nowak (Amherst, NY/Eden) recorded four saves in his fourth win of the season.

Brockport hosts Plattsburgh for its first conference game of the season this Saturday at noon.
