Box Score

The College at Brockport Women's Lacrosse team dominated Potsdam Saturday afternoon winning 18-6 in a road State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game with four goal performances from both Hailey Boronczyk (Syracuse, NY/Corcoran) and Kelly Wall (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa).

Brockport (7-3, 3-1 SUNYAC) outshot the Bears 39-12 with the Golden Eagles putting an astounding 33 of their 39 shots on net. The Golden Eagles defense swarmed the Bears constantly throughout Saturday's contest leading to 27 Potsdam turnovers. Nine Golden Eagles in total scored with five players netting multiple goals.

After two quick goals by Potsdam put Brockport in a 2-0 deficit less than three minutes into the opening half, the Golden Eagles responded by scoring the next nine goals of the game. Taylor Thomas (Cortland, NY/Cortland) put the Green and Gold on the board less than one minute after Potsdam's second goal and assisted on the Meg LeGro's goal (Kirkville, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa) that put the Golden Eagles ahead permanently.

Wall scored three times in the first half of play including the game-winner, while Lauren Mancini (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool), Ciara McKeon (Westhampton, NY/Westhampton Beach) and Keeley Rice (Potsdam, NY/Potsdam) also scored in the opening half to give Brockport a commanding 8-2 lead.

Brockport netted the first goal of the second half after seven minutes without any change in score. Wall assisted on a Makensie Schuber (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) goal.

Boronczyk sent the ball past the Potsdam goalie four times in the second half and also picked up three assists as well. Rice, McKeon and Mancini all added their second goals of the game in addition to Jessica Boddery's (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) first of the contest to give Brockport the convincing 18-6 win.

The Golden Eagles are in for a busy week as they have three games including two SUNYAC contests. On Tuesday Brockport faces SUNYAC rival Cortland at 4 pm and the team also has another 4 pm match against St. John Fisher on Thursday. Brockport Women's Lacrosse senior day is scheduled for April 18 against Oswego at 1 pm on Saturday.
