ALFRED, N.Y. – With 17 different Golden Eagles working into the scoring column, The College at Brockport downed Alfred State College 21-2 on Wednesday. 
The Golden Eagles improve to 7-1 on the season while the Pioneers fall to 2-7 on the year. 
A strong first quarter got the Golden Eagles off to a hot start, with 10 unanswered scores to post a 10-0 lead by the end of the period. In the second, 
Colton Oliver worked in a Green and Gold goal before the Pioneers netted a pair of scores to post an 11-2 lead. 
Gabriel Coppola buried a 
Matt Malecki set up to take a 12-2 lead into the break. 
The second half was all Brockport, as the Golden Eagles went on to score eight goals in the third period and a final goal in the fourth, posting the strong 21-2 win. 
Jake Recor led the Green and Gold offense, with four points off a goal and three assists.

Kevin Klaiber and Coppola each netted a pair of scores, with Recor,

Marcus Palvino each finding the back of the cage. 
On the defensive side, 
Bob Costanzo Jr. picked up three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Palvino, 
Nick Smith, 
Pat Quinlivan and 
Joe Mikiciuk each had a caused turnover. Klaiber went 10-for-11 on face off's, with Cook finishing 6-for-8 in the circle. 
Conor Nowak picked up the win with 15 minutes in goal and a save. The Golden Eagles saw a cycle of net minders, with 
Dallas Meyers picking up 11:33 minutes, 
Trey Love snagging over 18 minutes and 
John Clancy seeing 15 minutes in goal and picking up four saves. 
The Golden Eagles outmatched their opponents in several categories, with a 50-11 edge in shots, 47-25 advantage in ground balls, and a 20-7 lead in face off's. The Green and Gold went 23-of-27 on clears and forced 26 Alfred turnovers. 
The Golden Eagles will return to action on April 2 when they open State University of New York Conference play and host SUNY Cortland.
