BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The No. 12 College at Brockport women's lacrosse team used a six-point performance from
Kelly Wall to hold off a tough Buffalo State squad on Tuesday in State University of New York Athletic Conference play, 15-7.
The Golden Eagles stay perfect in 2016, with a record of 10-0 and 3-0 in SUNYAC play, while the Bengals fall to 4-8 on the year and 1-3 in league play.

Stephen Wagner's team took control of the contest from the get go, scoring five straight goals to open the game. The first came in under a minute of play when Wall powered through the lane to bury an unassisted goal and take the 1-0 lead.
Keeley Rice worked into the scoring column off a
Courtney Szczesniak set up, posting a 2-0 lead.
Jessica Boddery netted a pair of back-to-back goals with Wall adding her second score for the 5-0 lead down to the 18:36 mark.
Brockport saw the Bengals get on the board with eight minutes to play in the period.
Samantha Dooling ensured that the Golden Eagles would have the final say of the half however, as she worked in an
Andrea Zlinsky pass to help the Green and Gold take a 6-1 edge into the break.
The Golden Eagles picked up right where they left off, notching three straight scores out of the halftime. Zlinsky buried a pair to open the half, with Rice notching her second score for the 9-1 lead with 24:07 to play.
The Buff State offense found a spark, and went on a 6-1 run to the 11:46 mark. A Boddery goal split the Bengal scores, as the Green and Gold held tight to their 10-7 lead.
The Bengal scoring surge sparked the Brockport offense, as the Golden Eagles closed the contest with five straight. Wall, who proved her offensive prowess in the contest, had a hand in four of the final five scores. Zlinsky got things started with a Wall assist, with
Hannah Cullen finding the back of the cage to give Brockport a 12-7 edge with 8:25 to play.
Wall put away back-to-back scores, and set up the final Green and Gold goal, a Boddery finish with 43 seconds to play. The Golden Eagles held on for the strong 15-7 victory.
Wall led the offense with four goals and two assists, while also snagging three ground balls and picking up a caused turnover on the day. Boddery also netted four scores, while Zlinsky added the hat trick and two assists.
On the defensive side, Szczesniak had a monster day with five caused turnovers, four ground balls, two draws and the assist.
Lauren Mancini snagged six GB's, with Cullen adding three in the same category.
Ciara McKeon picked up nine draws on the day.
Sara Shaddock got the start and the win in her 48 minutes of play, stopping six shots in goal.
Paige Lammes tacked on nearly 12 minutes of action.
The Green and Gold outmatched their opponents in several categories including shots (41-20), ground balls (24-11), draw controls (17-7) and free position shots (13-4). The Golden Eagles also forced 17 Buff State turnovers and went 16-for-17 on clears.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, April 26 when they host Potsdam, with opening draw slated for 1 p.m.
