ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The College at Brockport once again swept competition on Saturday to ensure a tournament victory, taking the University of Rochester Invitational with a perfect 4-0 record. Setter

Sam Holdredge were both named to the All-Tournament Team.
The two victories improved the team's record to 8-1 on the season.
Game 1 vs. SUNY Poly: W, 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 25-14, 25-18)
The squad got off to a slow start in their match against Poly, allowing the Wildcats to take what was a back and forth first set.
They settled down soon after though, taking the next three sets without allowing their opponents to reach the 20-point mark. Late in the second set with the team leading 17-16,
Jamie Schlesinger came to the line and went on a six point service run that was aided by two Holdredge kills.
The Eagles came out flying in the third stanza, jumping out to an early 13-3 lead that was highlighted by a seven point service run by
Maddy Taylor that included two aces. The squad went on to take the set by a score of 25-14.
After getting down 6-2 to start the fourth, the team fought back to take the set 25-18.
Aimee Spilman picked up a service ace at the end of the set, which was one of the squads 11 aces in the match.
Emma Stoltz, Holdredge, and
Kelly Waters combined for 33 kills, and Waters and Stoltz each added a block. The team thrived defensively, as Poloncarz, Taylor, and Holdredge combined for 41 of the squads 64 digs.
Game 2 vs. Hamilton: W, 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-14)
Brockport was dominant in their second outing of the day, outscoring their opponent 75-44 in the three set sweep.The Golden Eagles bettered the Continentals in every statistical category, including points, kills, aces, blocks, assists, and digs.
The service line was once again a strong point, as Brockport added another ten aces to bring their day's total to 21. Poloncarz led the way in that category with her four service aces, and Spilman and Schlesinger each added two.
Stoltz was a force offensively, registering a team-high 16 kills on just 28 attempts for an impressive .393 hitting percentage. Besting her in that category was Schlesinger, who hit .462% (seven kills on 13 attempts).
Taylor was an instrumental part of the team's success on the day, digging up 23 Hamilton attacks, which is a new season high for the sophomore defensive specialist.
The Golden Eagles will be back in Brockport for their next contest when the University of Rochester visits Jim and John Vlogianitis Gym for a matchup beginning at 7 p.m.
